About Nicholas Allen
Nick writes books for people who like a little substance with their entertainment and maybe a few laughs along the way.
His nonfiction draws from real-world experience, hard-earned lessons, successes, mistakes, and a firm belief that useful advice shouldn’t feel like homework. His debut nonfiction work, Closing Time, takes on money, wealth, debt, and financial freedom through the lens of a career in real estate, delivering practical strategies without the usual guru-speak.
But Nick doesn’t stay in one lane.
His fiction explores a much darker side of storytelling... suspense, buried secrets, complicated characters, unexpected twists, and ordinary lives colliding with extraordinary circumstances. His Allen Nichols thrillers blend psychological suspense, action, mystery, family, and just enough humor to make the characters feel real.
Whether he’s writing about building wealth or someone trying to survive a past that refuses to stay buried, Nick has one rule: Don’t bore the reader.
Nick also writes informational children’s books (e.g. his Chedlee the Chipmunk series) designed to make the big, confusing, and sometimes scary parts of the world a little easier for kids to understand. Through fun characters, simple explanations, and plenty of personality, his children’s books turn questions and fears into curiosity, confidence, and learning.
He lives in Florida with his family, where life is usually a little less dangerous than the thriller stories he dreams up. When he’s not writing, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find him wandering Disney World or Universal Studios, hanging out at the beach, or doing just about anything that gives him an excuse to wear a Hawaiian shirt and avoid dressing like a normal adult.
